The Beginning
Why IGSS Was Founded
In 2012, Kuwait's government and defence procurement landscape had a structural problem. The world's best defence and technology companies wanted access to Kuwaiti institutions. Kuwaiti institutions needed access to world-class capability. But the path between them was opaque, slow, and unreliable.
International vendors with genuinely superior technology were losing ground to less capable competitors who had better local connections. Kuwaiti procurement offices were making decisions without full visibility of what the global market actually offered. The people who suffered for it were ultimately the institutions tasked with protecting Kuwait.
"We were not founded to be a middleman. We were founded because Kuwait deserved better access to the world's best capability, and the world deserved a reliable way to work with Kuwait."
IGSS was built to close that gap. Not as a commission agent or a local sponsor in the traditional sense, but as a genuine capability partner -- an organisation with the technical depth to evaluate what clients actually needed, the relationships to source it from the right providers, and the credibility to see complex programmes through to delivery.
From the beginning, we were selective. We took on fewer engagements than we were asked to, gave each one more senior attention than the market expected, and built relationships that survived well beyond individual contracts. That model has not changed in twelve years.

IGSS Founded, Kuwait CityEstablished as a specialist advisory and market-access firm, focused initially on connecting Kuwaiti government procurement with international defence and technology vendors. First engagements in defence advisory and procurement support.
Foundation2013 - 2014
First Major Defence ProgrammesCompletion of IGSS's first significant defence procurement advisory engagements, establishing the firm's reputation for technical rigour and discretion within Kuwait's security establishment. International partner network begins to take shape.
Defence Division2015 - 2016
Security & Infrastructure Division LaunchedGrowing client demand for integrated physical security solutions leads to the formal establishment of IGSS's Security and Infrastructure division. First surveillance and access control programmes delivered for government clients.
Security & Infrastructure2017 - 2018
Cybersecurity Division EstablishedAs the threat landscape shifts, IGSS responds by building a dedicated cybersecurity capability. First penetration testing and SOC advisory engagements delivered for Kuwaiti government institutions.
Cybersecurity2019 - 2020
Cloud Services & AI Divisions FormedDigital transformation becomes a strategic priority across Kuwait's government sector. IGSS launches Cloud Services and AI-Powered Security divisions to meet demand for sovereign cloud infrastructure and machine-learning security systems.
Cloud & AI2021 - 2022
Drones & Robotics DivisionAutonomous systems become a key capability requirement across defence, infrastructure inspection, and logistics. IGSS establishes its Drones and Robotics division, completing the transition from advisory firm to full-capability technology and security group.

Six Divisions. One Group.IGSS operates as a fully integrated defence, security, and technology group with six established divisions, a distributed international team, and a partner network spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. The same principles that guided the firm's founding continue to define every engagement.

IGSS Today
Twelve years after its founding, IGSS is a materially different organisation from the advisory firm established in Kuwait City in 2012. We are larger, our capabilities are broader, and the complexity of what we deliver has grown considerably. But the fundamentals have not changed.
We still take on fewer clients than approach us. We still give every engagement more senior attention than the market expects. We still build relationships that outlast individual contracts. And we still measure our success not by revenue or headcount but by whether Kuwait's critical institutions are better served, better protected, and better equipped than they were before they worked with us.
The next decade will bring new technology, new threat vectors, and new requirements. IGSS will respond to each of them the same way it has responded to every challenge since 2012 -- by building the right capability, sourcing the right partners, and delivering with the reliability that this environment demands.
